Friday, July 13

Another busy day. Our guys started the morning by meeting a couple of men from Journey at their storage facility to help load the truck with everything they need to set up on Sunday to make the High School look like a church. We then hit the streets putting out door hangers again. The guys put out about 1500 door hangers today!!

The girls went to Helping Hands this morning and worked hard preparing and serving lunch, cleaning up and mingling with those who showed up in need of a meal.

We met up this afternoon for servant evangelism by handing out water at the beach.

About 5:00, when we were done for the day, the kiddos got to enjoy a couple of hours of free time at the beach.

Your kids are doing a super job. You should be very proud of them.

Thursday, July 12

We've got some tired kiddos tonight. They walked their little tushies off today.

We started the day by hanging about 2000 door hangers!! The kids did a great job. Worked hard and quick with no complaining or griping (that I heard).

After lunch we divided our group. Vicki and I took the girls to the church offices to prepare for this weekend's service. The church had about 8 volunteers and together we got a ton of stuff done.

The guys went with Johnette to Helping Hands to help serve families for their Thursday night Family Dinner and a Movie. Your sons chopped meat, served, interacted with the families and helped clean up.

We met back up for a good dinner on the beach in Deerfield Beach. We got to do a little soy inert shopping after dinner.

I'm sorry but I don't have any pics from the day. But Vicki has (will have) a bunch of pics from the day on her Facebook page.

See ya tomorrow.

Wednesday , July 11

What a day. We got off to an early start this morning by heading to Helping Hands. Thank goodness we were working inside because we woke up to a thunderstorm that lasted until this afternoon.

At Helping Hands we assemble sacs for groceries, organized groceries on shelves, bagged meat for grocery pick up, helped prepare food for lunch, helped serve lunch and helped clean up!!

We stayed a little past our slotted time because we weren't going to be able to hand out water on the beach. We then enjoyed a good lunch as the rain turned to sunshine. The kiddos got to enjoy a couple of hours on the beach before meeting a growth group from the church at a local park to hand out granola bars and info about the church.

Your kids are doing an incredible job and working so hard. Keep praying for us.
